Dr. Marike Marais

Veterinarian

Dr. Marike qualified at Onderstepoort in 2009, from there she joined a mixed practice in Pretoria and gained valuable experience in all species. For the last four years she focussed on small animals and developed a special interest in surgery which she cultivated by going on extra courses in fracture repair etc. She also did an acupuncture course and bought Waterkloof Glen Animal Hospital in 2016 where she hopes to live out her passion for animals to the fullest. Her husband and two staffies Newton and Junko joined her on her quest.

Lily

Lily

Practice Cat

My name is Lily and I’m the clinic cat. I can usually be found sleeping in my favorite bed on the counter, or laying on files my staff are trying to write in, or begging for my meals. The feline stomach can’t tell time! All in all I have a good life, but prefer to act the long suffering forgotten mascot in hopes of getting an extra meal. It works amazingly well for me!

Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
